"Hotel is brilliant for kids. Soft play, swimming pool, use of water sports, outside playground. Carpet in the room was pretty disgusting. Decor definitely needs updating but clean other than that. "

"Breakfast was a total disappointment. Most stuff tasted like old reheated food, the salami was not fresh either. Most of the staff kinda looked sad to work there. I can only think of 3 that had a bit of a smile and nice disposition, the rest…… We were in a double room with a 4 year old and an 8 months old. We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready (understandably so), one would think they were getting it ready for us checking in, but when we got to the the room, only 2 towels and no soap. Also super loud, paper thin walls and the nosiest people almost partying next door. "

"Close to gatwick for travel, free parking and friendly staff. Other than that it isn't good, not worth the money even though low, it's no more than 1/2 stars and shouldn't be more than £30. We managed to get some sleep and move on. Even if the breakfast had been available as advertised, we wouldn't have eaten it. Place needs a major clean and refurbishment, which I can now see has been promised for some time on reviews. "

"As a single woman travelling alone, I rarely feel unsafe in a hotel, but unfortunately at this hotel I did and I never leave negative reviews. Upon arriving the reception area had a few Eastern European men ‘mooching’ about, there was nobody on reception to greet me, but knowing this is a check in remotely hotel that was fine, had it not been for the men hanging around the area. My room although clean had a horrible smell and the balcony door was unlocked. I had a terrible nights sleep, not just because the bed is so hard, but I woke at every noise thinking someone was entering the room. At 4:45am there was a few knocks on my door - I don’t know if this was a room mistake, but just added to my concern. There wasn’t any mention of having to pay for parking onsite, so was annoyed at having to pay £10 to park overnight- especially when in the morning I could see I could have parked outside the hotel for free. I have since read that this hotel is/was housing asylum seekers, so if you’re a lone woman travelling alone; I would avoid - equally if you don’t want to sleep on a rock hard bed avoid. "
