"We had an amazing stay at Sandburn Hall. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. The hotel and grounds are stunning and our suite was exceptional. The breakfast was of a very high standard and again, amazing staff service, nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely stay here again, highly recommended!"

"Easy to find, plenty of parking. Easy and quick check in. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We had the double room above the pub and it was a really nice size with tea/coffee, fridge and ensuite with shower gel, shampoo and towels. The place could do with a bit of an update, run down in places. The plug in the bath did not work and the shower trickled out so cleaning off after a day out walking was difficult. Lovely peaceful location, 20 mins drive from York and can see plenty of the North York Moors from here without driving for too long. Obviously this room is at a pub, so it is noisy in the evenings so don't expect an early night. It was a perfect base for us."

"Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location."
