"Lovely old home converted into a home away from home. Don't expect all the latest mod-cons but the basics are there. Large rooms, nice bathrooms and a well stocked shared kitchen. Aachen House would be wonderful for larger groups or families looking to stay together. Surprisingly quiet for a large home with lots of comings and goings, we look forward to visiting again at some point in the future!!"

"The room was beautiful. We were there to get my sister ready for her high school formal and the process checking in was so easy. Thankful for the On site general manager who helped us when we returned late at night and the key card wasn’t working. Loved it will definitely stay again in the future!"

Tout était parfait : l’emplacement, tout les petits restos autour, la propreté, le confort et surtout la gentillesse et la rapidité du personnel. ❤️Le resto bar de l’hôtel également super. La chambre était spacieuse, impeccable et vraiment très bien équipée, avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour nous sentir comme chez nous. "Price point is right for this property. Car parks a little tight but this is useful for the location and closeness to CBD. Queen Street is within 40 minute walk but an Uber is only $10 each way and Sky City $14, very cheap. Room was spacious and tidy with the shower clean and meeting expectations given the price. Bed comfortable and heating worked well and was quick to heat the room. The hotel reception is not staffed after 8pm but entry via card is used instead. Area is quiet too with a short...

"Kitchen equipped ok for our brief stay and clean throughout. Needing shower caddie for shampoo/soap and toilet roll holder but a well presented unit. Airport shuttle now dropoff to airport but not pickup on return, bus almost at door on return."

"Comparing to other accommodation in the area, I can not recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful but I found the room extremely basic, very cold. No telephone in the room. The bathroom door and bedside table drawers were visibly crooked. The a/c unit dirty. The room had a lot of noise from both the road traffic, people arriving to the hotel and groups gathering to talk loudly. I wish I paid more to stay elsewhere"
