"Starland looks and probably is a remodeled Condo/AirBnb type development, so it has all the usual pluses and minuses that come with it. In other words, expect more of a rental unit type situation than either a hotel or motel. That being said, the remodeling was nicely done, the facilities are clean and secure, the beds are comfortable and best of all it is within a stone's throw of the Sylvia Park Mall. The price is affordable too, so if you want a no-frills and budget-friendly apartment unit close to the mall, I don't think you can do better than this. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful."

"Shower was leaking, carpet had a smell both in the room as well as the whole property. Overall cleanliness of the room was not to standard as in dirty window seal, dusty corners etc. Not suitable for kids"

"I never used the laundry service. Clean room, good parking and great staff. Always a nice place to stay. Facilities are not 5 star hotel but it does a great job for the price."

"Pros: ​Convenient Location: Only a 20-minute drive to the CBD and the airport, which is handy for travelers. ​Walking Distance to Shops: There is a large shopping mall just a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to grab supplies or food. ​Cons: ​Severe Hygiene Issues: While the room looked clean on the surface, it was infested with fleas. After one night, me and my friend woke up with itchy bites and red bumps all over my body. This is a major health and safety concern. ​No On-site Staff: The front desk was completely unmanned. The service bell is useless as no one responds to it. ​Frustrating Check-in: You are forced to call a "remote" phone number provided on-site just to get your room key. It’s an unnecessarily complicated and cold process. ​Final Verdict: The convenience of the location does not justify the lack of basic hygiene and service."
