"The room was clean and staff was helpful. There were lots of amenities that were available to make the stay convenient. The only reason I gave a 4 star on maintained is that the sink in my room was slow to drain and needed to be addressed. I felt this is something the cleaning staff should have realized when they cleaned the room since it was quite evident and should have been taken care of. I did however report it to the main desk, just incase they were unaware. Everything was wonderful!"

"This was an amazing hotel full of games and all sorts of fun for the kids like mini golf and go carts. It is very conveniently placed with short travel distance to good food, shops while not being to far from all of the parks or Des Moines bike and nature trails. "Staff was very nice and accommodating. The building needs major updating. Doors are heavy and stick in place. Carpeting in rooms should be replaced with laminate for health reasons. In the room where we stayed, the toilet seat was loose and slid every time we sat. The refrigerator door didn’t close, so it was useless, and electrical outlets didn’t adequately hold a plug. "The room was filthy. Is it really that hard to wipe down dirty areas of the walls, the corners of the floors and behind and under the bed? Or cleaning underneath the shelves in the shower. Come on Baymont, do better! Make sure the people you're hiring to clean, actually know how to clean!"

"Fleas! I was there an hour. I was covered in flea bites. I just wanted a couple days to rest before I have a baby. The manager was hostile. He did not issue a refund, even though I checked out almost immediately. One of the staff was concerned about my staying there because it’s such an unsafe motel. They were talking about how to keep people breaking into my room to hurt me. A dog was barking loudly… I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in this place for more than an hour."
