"Such a clean and charming bed and breakfast with so much character. The shared spaces are welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic each and every day! The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. The neighborhood is safe with a lot of food options and corner stores nearby. If you drive here, parking is challenging but not impossible I look forward to staying here again in the future."

Elevator was slow but useful. We asked for a room on the top floor and in the back away from the traffic and that's exactly what we got. The room itself was clean and roomy. "The price, for being in a bustling but relatively safe location with on-site parking, was great. However, being situated right off of Lombard Street, there was a lot of loud traffic noise right outside the hotel and the windows didn’t do anything to dull it — roaring engines, honking, yelling (it was the 4h of July so that amplified things) — so don’t expect a quiet sleep. "This hotel is gorgeous. The rooms & Art are a delight for the senses. The location was amazing- we were visiting USF, and it was a great walking distance from campus. We were able to check out the Haight and Golden Gate Park on foot from the hotel. We stayed at many hotels on our California trip, and a couple things stood out about the Metro- it is bare bones as far as amenities go. There’s a restaurant next door and a nice bakery on the corner, but the hotel doesn’t offer much in the way of...

"It is marketed as a boutique hotel but except for a few trendy pieces of furniture like the bed and refrigerator cabinet, it is Motel 6 in amenities and quality. There was absolutely no place to sit other than the bed. No chairs or desks. The lobby is comfortable with good coffee machine. The rooms and elevators are older because the building is historical. The bathroom is standard motel sink and tub. The floors are new laminate."
