"Excellent location, older building, but clearly well taken care of. Staff are accommodating and kind. Very small rooms, but honestly, I didn't come to San Francscico to hang out in the room. I would def stay here again."

"The Handlery has maintained some of the original character of the hotel while updating for modern convenience. The staff are polite, helpful, and very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the convenience and proximity to downtown and restaurants makes it very walkable inconvenient. Half a block to the trolley on Powell Street. Half a block to Union Square station. We would definitely stay here again for both business and pleasure."
