"The hotel was conveniently located approximately 15–20 minutes from the city center by public bus, with the bus stop situated very close to the property. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. My main concerns were with the room itself. It did not have air conditioning, which made it feel very warm, stuffy, and uncomfortable, especially in the evenings. The lack of ventilation significantly affected the overall comfort of the stay. "If you’re looking for a unique quiet medieval castle experience this is the place to stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Grounds were incredible, breakfast and dinner were very nice. Second oldest golf course in the world wasonly 3 miles away. Beautiful walking trail with view and historical stone marker at the capture location of Mary Queen of Scots. Would definitely stay again.
