"The front desk staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. The bar/in hotel restaurant however might have been the worst service I’ve ever had. It took over 20 minutes to get a simple drink, and another 40 minutes to get our food, which was wrong/not what we ordered. The server was very polite (I don’t recall her name), but the wait times and lack of attention to detail was abysmal. The hotel and stay were wonderful, but I would never eat or get a drink there if I come back"

"We checked in late into a room and realised that there were food leftovers from previous guests in the refrigerator. The oven and Refrigerator both didn’t seem to work. We were given a second room and found that there were hair strands on the microwave oven, dust and coffee stains on the bed side table and the bathroom door was broken, resulting in door not closing. Room hygiene and cleanliness were basic expectations which this hotel failed to provide. Really disappointed with our stay....

"The hostel is situated in a residential area. Parking is available on a residential street. The check-in process with Travis was easy. Minor issue when showing me to my private room as someone else had the same first name and accidentally showed me to that room first. But was quickly corrected. The room itself was functional. The bed was firm. The shared bathrooms was clean, but showing its age with various broken tiles. I was only staying one night in Detroit and this is definitely an option...
