"Great location for someone wanting to be close to Lake Natoma to paddleboard. It’s about 15-20 mins from the mall and the outdoor shops. It’s across the street from historic downtown Folsom. Shops close early but the restaurants and bars are open late. The hotel is old but it has charm. The rooms have always been clean when we stay and the house keeping staff is very friendly and welcoming. The cleaning ladies are always in a good mood and welcoming. "The lobby was absolutely perfect for having many out of town family gather together to chat and catch up. We enjoyed the patio in the back too. No free breakfast included BUT the Bistro in the lobby was delicious and their staff super nice. The hotel was close to restaurants, gas stations, retail, anything you’d need. "Place is very clean and staff was very attentive and respectful, however the toilet seat and lid were very loose sliding all over the place. NO soap bar in the room, not even available for purchase at the lobby, only body wash. Ice maker on the 3rd floor fully disconnected. Breakfast was very mediocre compared other Holliday In Express facilities that I have stayed at. I’ve stayed at this location many times in the past but I will consider other options from now on."

"Rooms are spacious, and the price was low. The rest are all disadvantages. -- no service -- I saw cops many times in my 5-day stay -- loud neighbours -- lots of noisy, teen kids running around in the corridors. I guess the property is rented by some state agency for boarding the kids under the state care I stayed there for the sunk cost. I will not go back."
