"Clean room"

"Our stop in Osceola was planned as just a place to stop on the way to Kansas City. It turned out to be a very enjoyable part of the journey. The Evergreen was very clean and very quiet. Office lady was a joy to talk with and very helpful. The Evergreen is walking distance to the downtown and Mayberry's coffee shop. Also a short drive to La Corona authentic Mexican restaurant. Osceola is an interesting little town and a nice place to spend the night."

"First room: No security lock, fire alarm hung down on its wires, food left in freezer! Ick! No more rooms - they are filled - we said not going to happen - They gave us another room. Room 2 - Dead Bolt Lock didnt match up so DID NOT WORK - REALLY! Said no more rooms would have to stay here - had 3 small kids 2 female adults - later in evening - night clerk said she would ok a refund for the problems - later said she would not give because we stayed there. "We really have been enjoying our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and spacious, the pillows and bed were great, the bathroom had a full length countertop that was very wide which is very nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again if ever in Des Moines again"
