We stayed from March 25 to April 1st. The Service staff were outstanding. After arriving we became aware that the ownership of the hotel had changed. There was no communication about the change, and our package went from being all inclusive with the ability to order from the menu whenever we wanted, to not being able to get anything aside from the buffet for each meal. We were extremely disappointed with how the change over happened and the lack of communication around it. The expectations that the service staff had gone through with us upon arrival were just no longer available, and we had no choice but to dine elsewhere any time that we wanted a la carte food. In addition to this, there was a corporate team on site for the last few days and their presence was not welcoming or friendly in the least. We tried to address the situation that we were in with our package expectations many times, and were not provided any solutions at all that would have made it better. Prior to arriving we had also contacted the hotel to see if there was an opportunity to upgrade our room. Through email, we were given a rate for an upgrade, but when we tried to accept it and proceed to payment, the response was to show up and we would be taken care of. I tried calling instead to have the upgrade processed and was told that it was not an option. Along with that all systems were down, including wi-fi and communication to the front desk. The location is beautiful, the service staff were outstanding.
