"The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a gas fireplace and a small terrace where you could get a partial view of the sea. Unfortunately, we arrived on a very hot March day and the room was stifling. Caring staff had the maintenance staff shut off the fireplace and brought us an extra fan. We slept with the sliding door open and the fan going, which worked pretty well. The lock was broken on the screen door, but felt the fenced in terrace kept us reasonably safe. There was an excellent restaurant (Moonstone Grill) a couple of doors down. We wished we had stayed at a place with more dining options close by, but that would have meant not being as close to the ocean. There was a lovely boardwalk along the shore. "

"Such a great place to stay. We stayed three nights and got the ocean view king room - it did not disappoint. Second story unit had a clear view over the parking lot and road for a surreal view from the room. Moonstone boardwalk accessible directly across the street for a nice walk anytime of day. Super close to historic downtown for extra food options and shopping. Room was clean, housekeeping was on point every day. Breakfast is nothing great but the pancake maker and bread/cereal/yogurt/fruit options give a balanced, light start to your day. The staff was amazing all the way through. Just good vibes. Will be back to one of their sister properties for more exploring and comfort. "

"Lots of potential. Room huge and clean. No A/C only heater which would be fine except it was warm for this time of year. Coffee maker and fridge. Can tell they are in process of fixing up the property. Great price and good location to beach, Hearst Castle and Cambria. Not bad for a last minute trip. "

"Our room was clean, quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. It was a treat to have our breakfast brought to our room each morning by a friendly server. We enjoyed being able to walk across the street to access the beach. "
