"The staff was very helpful accommodating my dog and brother on the ground floor (they don't do stairs). The location is very good for sightseeing at Hearst Castle, the Elephant Seal habitat, Piedras Blancas lighthouse and the southern end of the Big Sur coastline. It's an easy drive up Highway One to San Dollar Beach and Los Padres Forest trails to the North. To the south it's a short drive to Cambria and Moonstone Beach. "We enjoy staying at this property when we're in Cambria. The location is great, the property isn't huge and the rooms are spacious and fairly well appointed. A couple of gripes this visit: the room wasn't as clean as we're accustomed to (i.e. found little bits of paper, noticeable dust on the standing fan and some tiny ants) and the body wash in the shower was empty. "We will always stay here. Perfect stay everyone. Staff, especially Scott, goes above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Rooms are very nice. Love all the little touches like a basket with books, dinnerware and an extra blanket and water bowl for the dogs.
