"As a solo traveller this place exceeded my expectations. The room was very cozy, bathroom very chic and practical and the location was amazing. It’s right at the start of the older cobblestoned dimly lit area and coming home after dinner was really a treat walking the streets. "

"Our check it was easy and the room was very nice and most importantly, very clean! We loved the rooftop bar & restaurant- it was very nice to end our days up there with the amazing view! The 3rd floor lounge area was very nice to have - what a great surprise! The staff were always very helpful also. I can’t wait to return! Only one negative…I wish the bar were open just a little earlier in the evening."

"Hotel is good and clean. Rooms are large for Japan standard. The hotel is not as close to attractions in Kyoto as it is made out to be. Add an extra 10 mins to get to major attractions by walking. Despite handing over my passport with my name on it, hotel staff checked me into someone else’s room and I only found out because the welcome card in the room had someone else’s name on it.
