"My wife and I were celebrating our third anniversary and it was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly in our room was very clean.
However, there is some deferred maintenance on a few parts of the resort that they seem to be working on and improving at a gradual pace so you’ll see some of that however, the location is awesome. We were able to just go over to the Highport Marina and rent a boat and go out on the lake. Once they do all their upgrades I can give them a five star on their maintenance and upkeep it is an older resort so that’s part of the nostalgia
Work on their breakfast buffet items and make them a little bit fresher.
Also, they have a tower that has a bar called whiskey bar at the top of the observation deck, which is amazing to see the sunset.
Also, I do want to give extra recognition to Wendy and Dylan at work behind front desk, they were able to take care of us very well. They were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back there because of them.
We live in Dallas Texas, so it’s not too far of a drive for us so we just found a new close to home destination"
