"The property and rooms are very nice. Very lush and beautiful landscaping and easy walk to the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The issues that we had is that the air conditioner in the room was either not working properly, or undersized for the room. We had it set at 68 and it was hot in the room. We tried to turn it down to 66 and eventually 64, and I have a temp meter and the room was reading 80 degrees at night. It was very uncomfortable to sleep. We couldn't open the windows...

"My girlfriend and I had a great time at the Mauian, even though it was just one night. Very kind and helpful staff and speedy check-in. The overall property is relatively small, and you feel like you have your own little beach condo instead of a hotel room. I loved being able to walk right into the room from the garden area. "Beautiful place! Beautiful view (ocean side). Be aware that "partial view" of the ocean is pretty partial as buildings are between you and the beach, but you have a nice pie slice of ocean and a great view of sunsets over Molokai. Grounds are lovely and the pool is clean. Island Vibes Cafe next door is a treasure. Enjoy your visit!"

"Rooms were decent. Housekeeping was very friendly and nice! There’s a restaurant on the property, pool, gym, spa, and right next to the beach. There are other restaurants nearby. Whalers Village is about a 20 minutes walk and is good for shopping and dining. I gave 4/5 stars because I was never told about a $75 drink/dine credit during check-in. I am thankful for the person that checked me out mentioned it, so I was able to take advantage of it right at the last minute."

"We have stayed at the Whaler many times now. As long as we can find a room at a reasonable price, this is where we will stay. Whalers Village s right next door for shopping and dining options. We also shop at the local supermarket so that we can make meals too. Beach is great and Black Rock is a short walk down the beach. An overall very lovely place, with first rate service. Highly recommend!!"

"We liked the property. The condo itself was very nice and we were pleased with everything except for the air conditioning. It wouldn’t cool the entire space. The evenings were quite hot and we were required to keep the small window unit on 74 at all times which we did. We had no idea where to drop the trash, and very little info on how to exit.
