"We had an amazing time staying at Il Mare Surfhotel Wacasa. We were greeted by the owner who immediately sat us down on the patio overlooking the water and brought us peach sodas and our choice of popsicles! He took pictures of us enjoying the view and when we were ready to check into our room we came inside. Our room was INCREDIBLE! Not only the beachfront balcony but the space was decorated with designer furniture that matched the lobby as well. We made fresh coffee each morning then went to...

"This was the accommodation we looked most forward to on our Japan trip, and it did not disappoint. It was very beautiful and cozy. Well renovated old traditional house. Spacious living room downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. There is all you need to cook and wash. We ordered half pension, which is highly recommended. Great local food. The breakfast you cook yourself after a easy to follow instruction. I would love to come back for more than pone night. "

"This is a very local non touristy village. We enjoyed the hospitality (even if we couldn’t communicate)
The owner helped accomadate my sea food allergy. We really liked the hot bath available in the beautiful water. The only thing I would say is that it isn’t close to anything and you have to walk about 22 minutes to the train "

"Greatly enjoyed staying in Tsuruga, for affordable hotel at Select Inn. I got just what I expected with walkable location to all the malls, landmarks, and best thing was that it was right by the river for jogging and exercise. Thanks "

We made fresh coffee each morning then went to the restaurant next door for a private breakfast served on the terrace. The food was amazing and the waiter was so kind! We spoke with the owner every day at least once, he is such a friendly person and you can tell he loves hosting and interacting with guests! I love the photos he took of us each day and he made sure to email them to us shortly after. This hotel was more than just a place to stay, it was such a lovely experience and we hope to come back one day!"
