"Lovley stay and very clean"

"Quick check in, we asked for a room at the back, we were given room 8. Nice room, comfy bed, pillows a little flat. Lovely shower room with waterfall shower, nice toiletries. It was a very hot day when we checked in, so the room of course was hot, we opened the windows. Had our meal in the hotel, we shared a ploughman's platter with a couple of extra sides which was very nice. Also bought a bottle of wine. We sat outside after the meal to look at the lovely view. "The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it."

"We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way North and were very happy that we picked this Inn. The room was quite basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and in line with the price point. We had an evening meal in the bar area which was very good with generous portions and we were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was nothing short of excellent with good quality ingredients, perfectly prepared."

"The staff were great. I slept well despite the rattling window and the waterproof mattress. Everything was really clean except the area around the door handles, and the windowsills. One suggestion for improvement would be to have the corridor lights dimmed at night - I was the last one to go to bed in my dorm and the room flooded with light as I opened the door 😬"

"We had a pleasant stay. The grounds was beautiful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. We stayed in the west wing section with a view to the garden. The rooms are not large in size with a double bed. It's a simple, no-frills place with basic amenities, but it delivered exactly what we expected. "Brilliant property, stayed here with our staff for the weekend while racing at Croft. Not far from the circuit, beautiful little pub, huge rooms, very spacious and clean. Found a little gem with this place and we will be back 100%."
