"The manager was lovely and showed us around the room and let us know any key things we needed to know. The room was absolutely lovely, proper cosy country vibes and loved the special touch of a large bottle of sparkling and still water and cookies in our room. Would highly recommend as place to stay! "Good hotel and comfortable bed. Had cancel the second night as the hotel was closed. Access for an 81 year old was very difficult. Lots of stairs to manage. The very cold weather made it even more difficult. The manager was very good and helpful. We hope to get a refund for the second night. The location was excellent and the pub was very quirky and quite special. "

"Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts. We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch. "

"Carpets needed cleaning in edges and corners. Chair was dusty. Floorboards creaked. Could hear other occupants in next room walking on creaking floorboards. No heating in the evening. Everywhere could do with a coat of paint. Fire escape door was left wide open anyone could gain access from outside."

"Staff were helpful and friendly but property is very tired. Paint is peeling in bathrooms and bedroom, and the room smelt slightly damp. There were no electric sockets near headboard, we needed an extension cable running across the room. Corridor was in severe need of vaccuming. The property needs redecorating and deep cleaning."

"It was in such a great location! We loved the pub was downstairs and served such great food and drinks! It was nice to walk upstairs and not have to worry about driving. Free parking was nice. Breakfast was just cereal, cold croissant, and a banana but at least it was free. The room was cute but the ceiling was pretty low. My boyfriend had to duck a lot and couldn’t stand in the shower but he is 6’6”. The bath tube was really nice and relaxing! Staff was great as well and helpful! The room was...
