"Quirky accommodation..food and facilities great but the hot tub was too cold to use so we were disappointed we couldn't use it as was the main reason I booked the shepherds hut..otherwise would book again"

"Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage, genau neben Alnwick Castle. Im Zimmer lagen Bücher mit der Geschichte des Schlosses, die man lesen konnte und sehr interessant waren. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig."

"I find stairs very difficult and we were on the third floor. NOT much fun. as most of the other visitors were as old is not older than me I guess i was not the only one. They were unable to offer a change of room as they said they were full. However we never saw another soul on the corridor we were in and linen outside the door of two rooms remained there for the whole of our stay, we don't think we had any neighbours! It can't be easy in a listed building that cannot have lifts. the walk...

"Achtet bei der Buchung genau auf die Wahl des Zimmers. Wir hatten in unserem Zimmer kein Fenster. Dazu war das Zimmer direkt neben dem gemeinschaftsraum mit offenem Kamin (Tack Room). Das zweite Bett war leider auch sehr durchgelegen und ich habe die Federn gespührt. Der Check in ist nur von 16 bis 18 Uhr. Das Frühstück, das Anwesen an sich und die Betreiber sind Tip top. Trotz der Lage ist es sehr ruhig."

"A lovely light and airy room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed and plenty of clean towels. Staff were most welcoming and very helpful. Wonderful selection of goodies for breakfast. Fresh fruit every morning alongside a cooked breakfast and timings for breakfast most accommodating."

"The pictures on the site do not represent the reality of this hotel. It’s currently very run down and in need of lots of work. We stayed for 3 nights, we only had 3 towels and although we asked for more twice, were not given any and they weren’t changed during our stay. The bathroom looked new but unfinished. There was nowhere to put shampoo etc. in the shower, the floor was slippy (I bought a rubber mat for them) the toilet flush was dodgy and neither the fan or light above the mirror worked....

"Stayed in different lodges in Brada Quarry, the lodges are amazing, spacious & all done to a high spec. Disappointed to find the log burning stove at Cowslip has been removed, for terrible electric fire"

"Kitchen was unfortunately closed as the inn recently changed plans, so we had to venture out. We had no hot water for showers when we arrived, but the new assistant manager promptly got to work getting it sorted out so we could enjoy a hot shower before bed. Bed was comfy, room and washrooms clean. Parking on site was great."

"Love are stay. Very welcoming. Staff were great. Room clean but could do with a paint job as paint was flaking. Plenty of choice for tea and coffee. For the room being above a pub it was very quiet. Breakfast good"
