"Tucked away in a nice quiet spot! The pool area and beach area were both great. Would be a great places for families! Loved the live music every night. The restaurant staff were great and the drinks were good but the food was expensive and mediocre. You can find cheaper drinks and food near by!"

"The staff was overall wonderful, with one exception. Nothing that went wrong was the fault of the property or the staff. It was the recent hurricane. Two of the three closest restaurants were closed, as well as the Sheraton next door. The ocean rooms were outstanding, though it was rocky surf rather than lapping. "If you are planning a stay at Poipu, stay at Ko’a Kea. It is a small boutique property but experienced enough to provide great service, grounds and food. The property was well maintained and clean. It is right at the oceanfront and our room faced it, just steps away. Everything we ate and drank from the bar menu and Red Salt was superb. There are a some things that could be improved that are not Hurricane Lowell related. The bathroom and shower could use updated tile and trim and a double sink....

"There were fruit flies in my room during my entire five day stay. The owner of the room did not leave a phone number so that I can contact them regarding the issue. I was never given an email with the owners information. I asked the front desk and they said I should’ve received an email but I did not. The room needed to be painted and the bathroom shower faucet kept dripping. The doors covering the sliding doors would not open fully so my view of the mountain was blocked. There was only one...
