"Clean, quiet and convenient access to Galena sites and restaurants. No complaints."

"Room needs updating Carpet was old & worn, curtains old & torn. Furniture was old & worn. One lamp didn't work. Bed was clean & comfortable. Front desk staff was nice. Caroline's restaurant was good & staff was nice."

"No FREE breakfast $12.95 per person charge. Room clean. Bathroom light switch turns on light and fan should have 2 switches . One for light and one for the fan. When you get up in the middle of the night you do not want to wake everyone in the room with fan noise. Price $50 higher than Best Western in Hannibal Missouri with no real greater conveniences and and additional charges for breakfast of $26/per couple."

"Staff was very attentive and helpful with any concerns. Unfortunately, during the stay there was disruptive service with the Wi-Fi. It caused frequent drop offs/ loss connection. Beyond that issue, accommodations were great. A two night stay was planned, but had to be shortened. Would have loved to stay longer. Galena is full of unique shops, diners and historical sights. Definitely Recommend!"

"Charming property and great stay. Very nice staff and accommodations."

"Perfect, safe place for a senior women’s getaway. All on one floor. Plenty of beds and 2 large bathrooms as well as a seating area to catch up with each other. The man at the desk was very helpful and friendly."

"Room was great, staff friendly and helpful. This is where I stay every time I go to Dubuque."

"Check-in was long. It took her at least 10 if not 15 min per party to check us in. Pool was closed. People who checked in ahead of us had to put their luggage in hall room wasn’t ready. Also front desk gal had window open near check in when 90 degrees outside so it was hot!"

"This place was nothing like what it described on Expedia. It didn’t have a in room hot tub, no casino shuttle. There were raccoons in the garbage cans right outside our room. The lady at the front desk couldn’t even talk with a sick voice. Not acceptable! And then just to get a 12. Refund!!!! Very angry!"

"This is the first Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed at that I felt I went back in time to 30 years ago. This is so outdated I’m shocked that IHG puts their name on this property. Needed remodeled 20 years ago. The coffee looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Was so dirty I left without showering. I’ve been an IHG member for almost ten years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this. So disappointed that I paid for this online otherwise I would have left."

"Claw foot bathtub was luxurious. Wine in the afternoon was lovely, and breakfast was amazing! Really nice property!!"

"The room was nice and big."
