"Parking is paid. Rooms are old and need renovation. Carpets were somewhat sticky, the shower heads were old and rusty. They are centrally located and have good views and they charge for that. But after paying high costs for the room, I'd expect rooms to be better and parking to be free."

"I was not aware but each of the units at the hotel are individually owned. So some have updated furniture and some dont. Overall i gave it a 4 star due to the room conditions. "This was a great property. The grounds and condo were beautiful. Small amount of beach stuff to use. Washer and dryer came in handy. "This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. "Dragonfly Ranch is surrounded by green and the song of frogs and birds. I stayed in a room with a delightful view of trees then ocean. Dragonfly is only about a 6 minute drive from a great beach for snorkeling and swimming - Two Step, right next to the Pu'uhonua o Honoaunau (Place of Refuge), which is well worth a visit. Staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting again in the future."
