"Loved this resort...centrally located, great facilities, access to the beach, easy to reach by bus from Komtar in Georgetown (bus stop at door). Staff were very helpful and attentive. Buffet breakfast was amazing with so many choices. Even got to meet the Manager on quite a few occasions who was wondering the resort, checking facilities (very impressed by this) On the same bus route to Batu Firinghi, Penang NP, Escape, Butterfly farm too. "We had a great stay at this beautiful hotel. The pool was shaded and cool even in March's heat wave! The breakfast buffet had everything we could want, and more. "

"Stayed at a newly set-up loft/attic unit that is able to fit up to 4 pax, comfortably. A bit of a steep climb up to the attic on the 3rd floor, but its worth the while to be greeted with a nicely decorated albeit simple room and comes with its own balcony area and external open air bathroom! Major plus points since this hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance to gurney drive. I look forward to the next stay here"

"Old furnishing, sofa, bedding and towels etc were sparse and looked very worn out. The apartment was not clean and floor was sticky we had to wear footwear during the stay. Checking in was easy, but note that the mailbox locks dont work so anyone can get in or out of your room easily and you will have no clue. Location is great. Parking is ample and great."

"It’s a fairly good location but unfortunately the place is really run down. It’s in desperate need of basic repairs, a coat of paint and some decent bedding. WiFi is so poor that some days it’s non existent."

"Brendan and the Eythrope staff exemplify Malay hospitality- we enjoyed our stay immensely and were quite sad to leave. The hotel feels like a home away from home, and the views are amazing. There’s restaurants a few mins away and lots to see and do on the Hill. Would love to return soon"
