"A lovely friendly welcome from Michael at reception. All the staff were great. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The fan was a definite bonus in the hot weather although the room stayed fairly shaded too. There was some traffic noise but it didn't disrupt my sleep at all (room 16). "Room was lovely, everything clean. Our room went out onto the garden at the back near the bar area which felt like you were in a little secret garden. Even though close to the bar there was no noise and everyone was very respectful. It has a lovely atmosphere here. Staff were all really lovely and very helpful couldn’t fault this place at all. Really good area just a short 30 minute walk into the centre."

"Cleanliness is was ok. Be prepared that is old!!! Uneven steps, no elevator, no air conditioning or room fridge! Historic is great, but none of the comforts of home.
Cold attitude toward guests! Did accommodate with a fan, but that wasn’t much help.
