"The property was good enough. The room was clean with no funny smells or anything like that. The amenities were nonexistent. Even down to not having hand or body lotion in the bathroom. It was truly the bare minimum. "

"Lovely hotel, newly refurbished, 6 minute walk from departures (no shuttle bus though). Restaurant too small for hotel, was full. Room and bathroom good. Will stay again."

"Beautiful gardens surround what clearly was a stunning manor house in its day. Met at reception by a cheerful helpful lass who soon had us booked in. Room was very dated and tired and desperately needed a full refresh. A questionable mark on the bed valance caused concern. The bath plug spun wildly and wouldn't seal meaning a bath was out the question. Saying that there was no shortage of hot water for a shower. We slept well enough and beds were comfortable. "The location is perfect if you don't want to over pay for your stay and be in old town via tram in 20 minutes , It was very quiet area , right next to transportation to old town, shopping mall right next to the area ,we enjoyed shopping the daily needs with local and very friendly people "

"Very very friendly staff. Beautiful room for a great price. The only issue was no conditioner or shampoo in the shower so it’s kind of expected for you to wash your hair with hand soap so bring your own!!! Everything else was great. Breakfast was great. Bus stop was right in front. Didn’t go to the pool or sauna but the restaurant/bar was lovely :) Would recommend "

"Bath was not cleaned properly when arrived with rust and mould on it. One of the towels was dirty. Swimming pool is not opened during the time, which is shown on site and closed 1 hour earlier, sauna swithed off 2 hours earlier, than should be. Girls in spa are not friendly at all. Very disappointing, as this hotel was choosen because of the spa mainly. Very limited parking space, which is not mentioned on site at all. Should park on ZOO parking most of the time, which is not free."

"It has small bar and very accommodating staff , breakfast is good for the price I pay.We managed to check in early as the room is available and we did had a good rest as we have an early flight. Location is walkable to prince st. And deans village but you can get a bus going to town centre."

"I had a great stay at Apex Grassmarket Hotel! The location in Edinburgh’s historic Grassmarket was perfect for exploring the Old Town and walking to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered lovely views, and the indoor pool and sauna added a nice touch of relaxation. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit — highly recommend for a memorable city break! "
