"The Crane is a lovely hotel with a long history. The hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has a few nice restaurants nearby but most attractions or city visits require a taxi ride. The concierge can make restaurant reservations and taxi requests for you but look online to book most excursions and if you can book transport with the tour companies. Reconciling the cost of taxes on the Expedia application and the hotel/apartments would make BLR Villas Dover Beach a 10--location, cleanliness, and price. "Stayed 26/12/25 - 01/01/26. From the moment I got there, the greeting and the smile from Cherish was very welcoming; she was always attentive to anything we needed. The room was clean with fresh towels and the bed was quite comfortable. Also shout out to Devon the evening staff, who came right away with a request that I had for my dad. "The room was spotless, and watching the sunset from our 3rd floor deck was amazing. The pool was a bonus in case the ocean is too rough to swim. One negative was the bars across the street were a little loud, but if you keep the bathroom door shut, it helps a lot. The sound comes in through the venting the bathroom."
