"My wife and I were pleasantly surprised just how nice the hotel was, the staff were really nice and the room very comfortable and cleaned daily, it's an old building so it's not like a modern hotel but adds to the character with oak beams, the only downside was no lift so as we were on the top floor it was a bit of a haul with the suitcases but the view of the market square was quaint. However the breakfast is amazing, choice of cerials, juices, milks, tea, coffee, pastries, muffins, breads butters, jams and a toaster plus an extensive cooked breakfast menu or they will cook you any combination The village of Masham is small but well situated to travel around Yorkshire. We loved every day and visited Harrogate one day which has a lovely park"

"The plough inn was very helpful when I booked the wrong night and needed to change it, the plough could have just kept the money but agreed to the change. The room and bed were comfortable, the shower however didn’t work properly, it was a small matter overall in our stay. Breakfast was excellent staff very helpful."

"Lovely big room with ensuite facilites. Very nice crisp white bedding & soft, white towels. Breakfast was good & we had a lovely evening meal on one of the nights. The staff were friendly. Certain parts of the hotel would benefit with a freshen up but I guess that's down to finances and we still had a lovely time. Slightly confused by the breakfast times as they were different to the website which stated Saturday & Sunday breakfast was until 10.00am when it was actually 9.30am. This was our second visit, though it's quite a few years since our last stay, and we would return in the future."

"Just had an amazing stay at this hotel, booked a dog-friendly suite which was superb! Separate lounge with lovely views over the fields, very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom with standalone bath. The staff were very friendly and the food at the hotel was very tasty and a reasonable price too. Had a great stay and will certainly be returning."
