"We love the rooftop bar. The hotel has a very unique feeling to it. It’s also very walkable to restaurants and some shopping. The room was nice and roomy. Parking was very easy."

"This place offers an affordable price compared to other hotels in Traverse City. I chose it mainly to have a place to sleep. I used silicone ear plugs to help with noise since the air conditioning unit and traffic can be loud. It has excellent hot water and a small refrigerator, which I really appreciate. There is plenty of parking. I will stay at this place again."

"Smell and breakfast very bad and room too small"

"Sugar beach location was roughly 10-15 minutes from downtown. The beach on site, was ideal. Beach chairs need to be updated.. could be nicer. The balcony decks need cleaned. Hotel room was nice.. Breakfast delivered to room was nice in the morning, not having to go down to a lobby was a plus. Coffee machine in room could be updated."

"Clean room, decent for the cost"

"Beautiful view of West Grand Traverse Bay. Crisp clean new sheets of good quality. Table and two chairs in the room created a very nice sitting area plus a comfortable desk chair. Only bad part is that because of the way the fridge and microwave are situated, you cannot see the TV from the sitting area. The TV, by the way, is very nice sized, modern but has no cable TV just free channels. No freezer in the fridge and very limited counter space in the bathroom."

"The room was clean & you could tell it was recently updated. Parking was very convenient & the hotel was in a pretty nice location. The room was pretty expensive, but was the cheapest in the area. Outdoor pool was decent, pool was nice enough. The pics of the property are a little but of a catfish type situation lol. But overall good, no major notes."

"No information was given when we checked in. We were not told where the ice was or breakfast or anything. There is a thermostat in the room but it doesn’t work. You have to use the air conditioner with no directions. We could not get the room to cool down and were hot all night. There were not a lot of choices for breakfast other than bread products. We went early and they were out of a lot and there were no workers around. The girl who checked us out was super friendly and I wish she had been...
