"Certainly more than we'd bargained for - in the best possible way. Excellent location for exploring Key West on foot. The staff were extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly, both at check-in and in later interactions. The room was large, well-equipped and comfortable, with a private porch and yard that were ideal for spending a hot afternoon with a good book, a good cigar, and a glass of good rum.

"Duval House is a lovely option to stay at in Key West. Just a nice walk to the downtown bar and restaurants. The backyard where a yummy breakfast is served is so pleasant. We met several nice people there. My only issue was with the air conditioner location in our room. It’s was right above our bed and kept me awake the first night. Fortunately I discovered a pair of ear plugs in my husband’s shaving kit, so I slept great the second night."

"The location of this hotel is more than excellent- and for its age is maintained well! With a breakfast and a happy hour and and a pool and hot tub - awesome! Parking is always an issue in this area of key west (30 dollars for overnight at the hotel and 37 for overnight in city lot parking practically next door if needed.) Pricy but somehow seems reasonable. Just being here makes it worth it for me."
