"The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the welcome was friendly. But, we were nevertheless underwhelmed by our experience at The Queen’s Head. Dinner was okay although my partner did not enjoy his at all. The room wasn’t as clean as it could have been and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling which didn’t inspire confidence in the cleanliness in general. Ik heb een aantal keer gebruik gemaakt van het binnen zwembad ( in een ander gebouw, tegenover het hotel) Daar kun je ook gebruik maken van de sauna en steam room. Helaas waren er veel renovatie werkzaamheden aan de gang. Hierdoor waren het restaurant en bar gesloten. Ook was de laatste twee dagen de receptie gesloten en een tijdelijke receptie gecreëerd. "Not quite as good as it used to be. Well located and comfortable bed. But the TV was a nightmare to work, didn't seem to follow any logic and stuck on certain channels more than once. The shower I've commented on before, you have to get in and out of the bath and for older people it is a difficult step. There needs to be a grab handle located to assist this. The room wasn't serviced the first day and this is now the policy on eco grounds. But we should have been told this. Staff are a little...

"The property was very nice and historic the staff were exceptional. The only downside was the menu for dinner not a lot of different options but plenty of places to eat around that area I did want to eat in the hotel for the experience pity about the menu we did have a drink there and staff was exceptional again nothing to much thank you to the staff a1"

"The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We didn’t need to park, except to be picked up and dropped off, but there wasn’t a lot of space to park. The rooms were very clean. There were a couple of minor inconsistencies with the replacement of amenities by housekeeping, but nothing worth mentioning. The only problem with our room was that we could hear people walking back and forth in the room above us, (the dining area, I think) one night quite late. "

"Room was nice and cosy , unfortunately had to leave for work every day to early for breakfast but there were some bits and pieces there if I wanted , plenty of hot water for a bath , bed was nice and comfortable, the only bad thing was someone had been in the room and taken my shampoo and razor the day before I left so could not was my hair or have a shave "

"A lovely young girl served and checked us in. The room was very clean and tidy. We had a delicious full English breakfast which included orange juice, tea and coffee. Great stay and would recommend this place for the pub and the stay over!!!"
