"Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. Staff friendly & helpful. Would stay again."

"A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."

"Great location, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, nice toiletries and great selection of coffee and teas. Great food and drinks available onsite. Ideas for improvement- larger fridge, the fridge is tiny - other than the free water that is provided you can’t fit anything more in there. Robes would be nice as well as body lotion or hand cream in the bathroom."

"It’s an old fashioned seaside hotel that requires updating but great value and the lady on reception whose name escapes me was excellent and was a jack of all trades. Breakfast was very average but what did I expect?"

"Huge bathroom. No towel rail by the basins every time wash hands had to drip water to a rail 5 feet away. And incredibly No Shower. Huge bath with side taps but no facility to wash and rinse hair. Come on Greene King its 2026 not 1826."

"No breakfast available despite being listed as such. Previous reviews mention staff but there were none. Room was fairly clean and comfortable. Entry via key code which means the same code for the main door and the room door - has someone unlock my room when I was in it. Not very safe and very poor for the money. Would not recommend. "

"Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."

"Hotel was okay for a 1-night stay. Room was okay although the wooden blinds let light around the edges, and with a security light blazing all-night directly at our room (303), it was difficult to sleep. Room was clean and tidy but no free bottled water, only limited tea & coffee. Full English breakfast, both vegan and meat, were very nice. Car parking a little pricey, on-road parking right outside the hotel is £10 (RingGo 59151) between 9am - 5pm and free outside these hours. No lift so...

"When I can I always use the holiday inn express. Poole was just as normal, I don’t need entertaining swimming pools saunas spas etc Nice comfortable clean room just got the best pillows and bedding, And just a superb breakfast. Thank you all in Poole well done."

"Breakfast is average and good parking facilities. Good food pub and eat but stay was terrible with boiling hot room stay they provided a single table fan for a family of four and the windows weren’t able to be opened with the smell off the dusty carpets overall can’t recommend for a family stay"
