"The local church is lovely and worth a visit. Good walks on Offa's Dyke's path. The property would suit a book fanatic as the place is full of expensive first edition copies and cobwebs! Barking dogs at night from a nearby property kept us awake. Otherwise ok. "

"This hotel provided a reasonably sized and comfortable room. The bathroom, although a bit small, was well-organized, making it convenient for guests. The breakfast was excellent value for money, offering a variety of hot food options. However, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell that persisted throughout our entire stay of six days. I suspect it was coming from the shower curtain fabric or the sewer line. Additionally, the bathtowels were not made of cotton."

Room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, I was overlooking the main road but it got really quiet around 11,pm and I slept like a log. Would recommend, good for the price."

"Large clean room with crisp sheets on the bed. Both the bed and the pillows were too firm, resulting in limited sleep I was convinced that continental breakfast was included when I booked the room. However the Expedia booking did not state that ,nor did the information sent to the Porters Lodge. The charge was though only £5 pp."

"The room was good in size and decor , garden room suite. We were on the ground floor the room above us you could hear everything even the person snoring , the floor must have been floorboards and we could hear everything, This woke us up and continued throughout the morning!"

"What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities in the room and a private toilet. Nice comfortable big bed with a big heavy duvet and plenty of pillows. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. "The property was ideal for a base to visit the surrounding area. Our bedroom and the property generally was clean and tidy. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was fine but the 'help yourself' fruit in the dining area was not fresh. Parking could be an issue near the hotel but our disability parking permit helped."
