"Good location, nice staff and clean room"

"Building is in disarray, with things left all over the place. No one was at the front desk. Towels were not changed and our room was not refreshed for our second night. I planned to use my credit card but was told the machine wasn’t working and I had to pay cash, but wasn’t given a receipt. (I was finally emailed a receipt a day later, after I insisted on one.) I never did received the change from my cash payment. It was all quite strange."

"My wife and I had a great stay at Craigallachie Hotel. On the day of check-in, Alfie was very helpful. Tom at the Quaich bar was excellent with this recommendations of single malt. We had a very comfortable stay."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Mansion House. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Elgin plus has very accessible parking. The surrounding walks and neighboring river made me feel like a character in a Jane Austin novel. Iona, Billy and all the staff made us feel like family. We even learned how to play snooker. Breakfast couldn’t have been better or more convenient. Will definitely try to return every time we go to Scotland!!!"

"Such a beautiful house, and our room was fantastic. We stayed one night and the breakfast was delicious. No problem parking; the grounds were well kept. Jodi welcomed us, and even helped with dinner reservations. I loved the bathrobe touch, and the room was super cute. The price was a bit high, but we only stayed one night, so no discount for multiple nights . We really liked our short stay, and how close it was to walking to a restaurant."

"Teresa, our hostess, is absolutely fabulous! We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome. The breakfast was great: fresh fruit, juices, coffee or tea, scrambled eggs, toast and cheese. Our room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We stayed for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed the fact that we were in the country but close to the city."

"What a contrast to my last hotel (Balmoral Lodge, Southport ). St Michael's was everything I want from a B&B and more. Beautiful vintage furniture, period features, immaculately clean, lovely owner, great atmosphere. Loved it and the presence of a coffee machine, a fridge and a balcony (looking over the garden) made this a great experience. . "I stayed here for a week and I was happy with what we got for the price we paid. The staff from the lady checking us in to the cleaners we spoke to, were all really nice. The room was comfortable and clean but my only issue ws the shower. It was a little mouldy at the bottom and the pressure wasn't great. It did the job though and I would stay again. Thank you"
