"This was our second stay there, on the first stay had no complaints at all. This time not so good Not really made to feel welcome and some of the staff were not friendly at all. The bedroom was like a sauna, unable to open window properly, and only one fan which didn’t do much at all, so no sleep for 3 nights. "Great location which is why we keep coming back. Communal areas have been modernised and the executive lounge is decent with some nice touches of snacks and alcohol at certain times. We often stay in the junior suite which is really spacious but the bathroom is dated and in a four star suite should have a walk in shower rather than shower over the bath. If that were to get upgraded along with some of the furniture in the room it would be perfect. Good to have Gino’s restaurant attached,...

"A lovely welcome by the reception staff. No problems with the room and had a good breakfast. The only very small thing I noticed was some not very clean public areas, such as the stairs and the outside windows in the staircase (very dirty). Hokwever, they did not affect our stay. Slightly disappointed that we had to pay for hotel car parking. Very central location, handy for the city centre and easy to navigate to."

We realised this was a bigger issue with the long queues at reception and many people complaining. When we asked for support the hotel staff were dismissive and said there is nothing they can do. "Great location not far from the train station. Room was clean and spacious. Highlight for us was the selection of gluten free breakfast, being coeliac this is hard to find but they were excellent and made fresh food upon request also."
