"Everything was top-shelf and exceeded our expectations. Food was great, Golf course condition was excellent (barring the golf cart ruts due to previous rain on the first par 5). Greens in great condition. Over-seeding on back nine so played the front nine twice...My only bugaboo was the toilet seat in our room (#614) wouldn't stay up on its own so it was a one-handed operation if you know what I mean. It was due to the flush handle design which kept seat from staying back all the way. May be endemic to all rooms if they used the same flush handle design everywhere....Nice back porch in our 600 series room to catch a smoke and awesome view of the moon and stars through the palm trees..The Inn less than a minute up the road for when we wanted 'fancy' dining but The Ranches has excellent places as well with a little less formality. Highly recommend The Last Word Saloon for their steak...The pool is big and family friendly. Water temp great as it's spring fed at, I believe, 85 degrees. Othe amenities like basketball court, shuffle board, bocce ball and putt-putt golf.....Gas station adjacent to the Ranches (and golf course) was about 25 cents per gallon more expensive than at Stovepipe Wells Village, which is 24 miles up the road. Pick your poison. Lol.Lots of European visitors too. Kinda' cool hearing French and eastern European languages being spoken.Staff was very responsive in all ways.. Bottomline: how good was it? We're planning a three night stay this coming spring."
