Overall, we liked the nontouristy experience. The air conditioning worked very well. The beds were comfortable. "

It’s a short trek to the Odori Park area, where a lot of good food is, and is very close to a subway station for getting around anywhere else in the city. Room was slightly more spacious than your average cheap hotel room in Japan, and they had some sort of odd radio-looking console in between the beds that are supposed to switch on lights in the room,...

"It was the perfect find for a late night arrival in Hokkaido. Also appreciated the tip from the venue on the convenience of the express bus. We were a little uneasy with the instructions and whether we could actually access the room, but ultimately everything worked as intended. It’s quite narrow but perfect for 2 people. Lots of conbini and food options nearby, including a fantastic ramen shop an 8 minute walk away (open until 2am), where we had one of our favorite meals on the trip."
