"Breakfast was great. We had ordered ala carte dinner and all items were very delicious.
Staff was very respectful and friendly.
The coffee shop had amazing tea and coffee.
We didn’t venture out there for shops so can’t say anything about other nearby shopping stores.
Rooms were spacious and clean. They had a common room to use with sofa etc. Loved the stay in this ryokan."

"Overall really nice stay at Sagano Hotel, have a simple breakfast (2 pc sandwich & a cup of coffee) in the morning is nice.
The room is large with big bathroom & big bed.
Have a microwave in room so can buy food at minimarket & self preheat.
Wifi at room also really good.
No time limit for check in, love it!
From this hotel we can see the river of Togetsukyo Bridge and have free rental bicycle so really easy to get around arashiyama.
But just remember that it is a Love Hotel so prefer for...

"Very refined and traditional inn, where the incredibly gracious host makes you feel straight at home. Breakfast is lovely, the whole hotel is spotless, and the onsen bath is a definite highlight. Very quiet neighbourhood, with all the major attractions a bus ride away. I hope to visit again soon. "

"The house was amazing. Very warm, convenient location to relax in the city. I would recommend.
As other reviewers said, there is a motion detector light going off many times at night and you can hear a bit the cars in the night passing, but that was not a problem for us at all. Would definitely rebook."
