"This place is VERY clean, pleasant and convenient. Near Kyoto station but not so close that you notice when you’re at or outside the hotel. Beds were comfortable. Staff were nice. Laundry room was helpful but expensive - but worth it for the convenience. I thought I wouldn’t get a machine as there are only 3 but I did (on a rainy Sunday midday). "clean rooms and the onshin"

"Fantastic hotel and a great way to experience Japanese living. Not quite what I would call a full ryokan, our room fortunately had it's own bathroom and tub, while still having the tatami matt floor and futons. The tub was a deep soaker and set up to provide a private onsen experience. We really enjoyed our stay"

"The room was spacious for 3 people. It was nice of them to open up another bed for our third person. They also added another amenities to provide our 3rd party. The bathroom and room were very clean and comfortable. Staff people were very helpful and spoke perfect English. Very close to the train station and there were a family Mart and a convenience store with bakeries which was great. Highly recommend staying here if you have 3 people, it was very comfortable."

"Very clean space with many delicious and friendly restaurants nearby. There is a 7/11 across the street and it is a 30 minute walk to Nushiki market for a day of shopping. There are also kind and welcoming staff to guide guests and offer ideas for things to do. "

"One of the best hotels we stayed at in Japan. The front desk staff were so friendly, polite, and helpful. Truly exceptional service. The room was spotless, amenities were top quality, and the location was perfect. Also, the shampoo and conditioner were amazing, best I’ve ever used! I’d love to know the brand. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Japan! "

"Staff were very friendly and check-in was quick. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Working space was adequate and wired internet was provided in addition to wi-fi, so connection was fast and stable. Whenever I needed a drink, I could simply go downstairs to the lounge for coffee or cold drinks. Best of all, this hotel is only a few minutes away from bus, taxi, subway and JR. I would not consider staying anywhere else on my next trip to Kyoto."

"Loved the sense of community staying at Sakura lounge hotel. We enjoyed the free flavored water and welcome drink every night. Located just few minutes from Kyoto station, yet once you walked in the hotel, it was totally different world; quiet, peaceful, relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the couch by the fire sipping drinks listening live music played by local musicians. The hotel has communal hot tub, I loved it. "
