I would recommend this hotel for solo and couples travelling. It was a little more challenging with children in the traditional Japanese room. But the hotel is clean, simple and eco friendly.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff location rooms were all amazing. We had a two bedroom suite and it was spacious and perfect for our family of three with an adult daughter. The location is great as well. I highly recommend it.

Loved this hotel! We stayed with two small kids in the peak heat of July and the AC space was great! The staff was always warm and helpful! Highly recommend to anybody traveling to Kyoto with kids!

Coffee and cappuccino 24/7 in the lobby, laundry facility in the unit and spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath suite with spacious living room. We felt like home! The staff was soo very helpful, 711 around the corner, nishiki market a quick 10 min walk- we loved this location and this hotel. If I ever were to come back to Kyoto- this is exactly where we would stay!

Check in and out was smooth and fast. Staff went through all the amenities/ perks offered. Asked us what we needed and provided it to us before we even left reception. EXCELLENT SERVICE! Room was spacious. Kitchen area was great and had all that we needed. Bathrooms were clean and well designed. Beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay at a Mimaru accommodations again.

This was outstanding customer service. From the moment we were greeted, we felt well cared for. Games for the kiddos, happy hour with sake and beer, tables for a morning coffee. The rooms were excellent and very spacious for our family of four. Highly recommend the location as well. A quick walk to with lots to do in the area:)

Spacious, clean hotel located in an excellent part of Kyoto. It was close to several transit options and within walking distance to major shopping areas and Nishiki Market. Highly recommend and will return again to the Mimaru Shijo.

Staff was very friendly which made checking in very smooth. Our room was super spacious for our family of four, but more importantly very clean. Location was excellent! 7 Eleven was right around the corner and Lawsons on the next block which made those egg sandwich, onigiri, pancakes, beverages, and coffee runs super quick. Lots of great eats and a pub nearby. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the Kyoto area.

Et helt fantastisk hotel, perfekt til en familie. Ligger på en stille sidegade tæt på 7-11, restauranter og shopping. Vi boede i en suite med to værelser og bad og et stort køkken. Det var perfekt! Rent og nyt med gode faciliteter. Vores datter havde fødselsdag og hotellet sørgede for en flot overraskelse som stod på værelset, da vi kom hjem. Det var så flot arrangeret med gave og kort. Vi vil til enhver tid vælge dette hotel igen.
