Our room (Kaede room) was bigger than expected. Lovely 2 night stay in a quiet inn/ryokan style accomodation. Washer/dryer combo was awesome to have. The stairs to the 2nd level is very steep. Great to have a second toilet & sink upstairs. Soaking in the open air bath after a long day out was wonderful. We never used the buses but they were everywhere, usually crowded. We used the local trains and walked. There are convenience stores a couple of blocks away.

Traditional style Japanese home

The room is very nice and resemblance of a traditional Japanese home. I really enjoyed it especially since it is in a quiet neighborhood in Kyoto. The only thing is that it is a bit far but you can take a bus (which gets crowded).

A great location to explore Kyoto. We had the Bamboo Room (Take) which was huge, more than enough space for the average family with two bedrooms. The kitchenette was useful, and the washer-dryer in the room was a convenient surprise in the middle of our holiday! The breakfast option is outsourced and whilst convenient there are other options nearby.
