"My stay at Holiday Inn downtown Grand Rapids was great and very comfortable. They offered a breakfast buffet for $16.99, but we did not check it out. This hotel was clean, the staff was great, and they offered a free shuttle bus to downtown events. I recommend this hotel and I will stay here again. "

"My husband grew up seeing this place and always wanted to stay here. So when he had to go back up to Michigan I thought it would be a nice surprise to book him a room here. First of all they said they had no rooms available. This was after booking the reservation (through Expedia). They all of a sudden managed to come up with a room - room 330 which was apparently akin to the janitor's closet. I *specifically* paid extra for a city view. "The photos really didn't do this hotel justice - it's very attractive and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, the room was well-decorated and spacious, and the communal spaces were very nice. We were able to park right out front on the street and walk to many dinner and entertainment options. Be aware that not all rooms have windows, so if that's important to you, be sure to verify before reserving your room. We absolutely loved this hotel and will be back!"

"I’m not usually one to be fussy or nitpicky…but the room was not clean, socks left by previous guests, trash on bathroom floor, mystery stains in the fridge, on the table and bathroom counter. I cleaned things up but probably should have just went and asked for a different room."

"There were two TV’s neither worked, power went out several times during my stay!! Arrived on Saturday evening wasn’t able to get into another room until late afternoon the next day Sunday. Excuse was no maintenance on sight!! Hotel was booked so I couldn’t be moved into a more suitable room until Sunday. checked out Monday morning. So not a good experience"
