"Rooms are dated Charge 10 pounds per person for Spa/pool yet not clearly detailed on any website! First room bathroom had a leak and second room door wouldn’t close! Staff not very interested!!"

"Great location, very quiet with beautiful walks to the lakes and surrounding village. Excellent equipped kitchen to prepare home cooked meals. Bed was very comfortable and the house was warm inside. "

"From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

"First, you can't check in till 5pm. Second, the shower is small and slippery when wet. When I mentioned that I'd nearly fallen twice and it needed a non-slip mat, I was told can't be done as this would be an admission that there is a problem. Plus, the light in the bathroom is on a motion sensor timer and kept cutting out leaving me in the shower, in the dark. This place was perfect - got real character, we enjoyed a drink on our little balcony in the sun, walked into town and grabbed fish and chips and bits from m&s foodhall a stones throw away. Added bonus has parking. Room was top floor and 5ft 5 i had to bend to get in the door, so if not nimble or really tall, may want a different room. "The room was spotless and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My only criticism is that there was insufficient drawer space in the room for clothes, which is why the rating is four stars rather than five."
