"The Aztec was a good place to stay for a quick trip to the beach. The prices are good for on the boardwalk location. Staff were friendly, lots of towels provided. Two free beach badges and free parking were included. No dresser to put clothing in and no hooks in bathroom to hang things on or towels. Walls were thin and heard noises but nothing rowdy was happening during our stay. "No dead bolt on door or on door to the adjacent room. Room was as clean as expected. This is more of a motel than an inn or suite. Overall, property and rooms could use updating but price was suitable for what we got."

"Do not book this motel. Our window was broken for the duration of the trip, which was addressed at arrival. We were told maintenance would come to fix it, but no one ever showed up. Someone ended up climbing in through our window at 7am, which is when we discovered the window didn’t even lock. Police were called and they talked to the staff about getting someone to come and fix the window. Our window was broken for our entire weekend trip. This situation actually took up most of our 4th of July....

"As soon as we got to our floor, the second floor, we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke despite it being a non-smoking floor (maybe even hotel?). Throughout the night we kept getting whiffs of cigarettes throughout the room. The most concerning part, under the bathroom counter there were glue traps for mice and other bugs and insects which leads me to believe it’s not the cleanest, most maintained hotel.
