"Awful. This place is at the back of some kind of children's zoo activity and motoring place. I checked in late. I tried to call them using the property number given but it is the wrong number!! I messaged to say I was going to be late. They said ok. When I told them their number doesn't work they seemed unbothered. When I arrived at 7pm to my shock they said the room is not ready! "My bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and modern. The only thing I would say was that the twin room that I was in wasn't really suitable for business travellers as it didn't have a proper desk. I used the bar instead which was a little noisy. I discovered after going to bed that the smoke/fire detector had a red flashing light on it which illuminated the whole bedroom and disturbed me when going to sleep. Also the car park is not big enough for the hotel size, meaning...

"The Brownswood is lovely and I keep returning year after year. It feels like staying with family. Pub is a great time. Quick access on bus network or plenty of bikes around make commuting to central easy."
