"Right next to lift 1 at the base, where there are chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Comfortable room with full kitchen. Just what I was looking for, a quiet, cool place to escape the heat and do some hiking. If you’ve never done it, Williams Lake is my favorite hike in New Mexico. Prior to July 4 (and maybe after) the restaurants at the ski area are only open Th-Sun. So if you don’t bring food, you have to drive back to Taos."

"We had a great stay. The hotel appears to be newly renovated, and everything felt fresh, clean, and modern. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful new bathroom. The kitchenette was very convenient, featuring a microwave, small refrigerator, and plenty of storage space. Having two TVs was also a nice bonus. Overall, the room was well-equipped, spotless, and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!"

"Wonderful stay. The place has been around for 90 years so, it is rustic in some ways.. The room was cozy comfy. Enjoyed the cool, fresh air when the windows were open at night. Evaporative cooler was nice too, when needed. Overall a very Zen place to stay."

"I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It was sparkling clean, they have real coffee cups in the room, and breakfast was made to order eggs waffles and bacon. Beautiful setting and they made the most of what they had. I would stay there again and would recommend. The bathroom is small, upstairs rooms require stairs but beautiful setting and walking distance to everything."

"Loved the fact that the Alpine Lodge is literally in the middle of town and makes for super convenient walking to shops, stores, restaurants and all other fun, mountain activities. Super beautiful main ski mountain right there by the lodge too. Spectacular mountain views!"

"The room was not clean. For a 4 star hotel, you expect it to be well kept. I stayed here with my 2 kids and my daughter kept coughing all night long for both nights we were there. So I decided to look more closely at the room because of that and there was layers upon layers of dust in every corner and there was BLACK MOLD in the shower in multiple places! "Where do I start on the wonderful stay we had at Hacienda del Sol? We arrived late for check in, but it was not a problem at all as the considerate staff at this wonderful B&B left instructions on how to get onsite, where to park (for free), and codes to the property and our room door. We had a large warm and very welcoming bedroom with a fireplace, a comfy couch and a rocking chair. The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi style soaking tub, and a separate shower and toilet. "The property is very dated, dark and depressing. There is no grass or yard around the pool area, and you had to go through a colony of gophers to get to the pool. The breakfast was good, but the area again was dark, hot and grease smelling. Never again!"
