"The property was nice and accommodating for my son, dog and I. I appreciated the warm welcome. I don't agree with the $50 dog fee, it should be a deposit that is received back if there is no damage. Also, there shouldn't be a parking fee. $20 is crazy! Also, it would be great if they added a patch of grass, dog run type area. There is really no where for the dogs to go potty."

"Stayed here for a work conference and stayed a few extra days for vacation with my family. Lovely property and walking distance to the convention center and Gaslamp District. This is my 3rd time here and will definitely be back!"

"I love the amenities of The Lafayette such as the Lobby Bar, Diner, the pool and the room decor is so fun. However, it’s not the best hotel if you want to get a good night’s sleep. Since many of the guests are partying in the hotel, there is noise going on well after 2 A.M. On my floor, there were doors slamming every 5 minutes and the vents in the bathroom were oddly projecting loud conversations from people in other rooms. Definitely the worst hotel experience I’ve had in terms of noise from the surrounding rooms. I got absolutely no sleep, which was a bummer. I wish the hotel had designated quiet hours for people to follow. If you’re okay with the noise, it’s an amazing hotel!"
