The hotel is a 19th century house across the street from Sefton Park in a very nice neighborhood. It is also a short drive to Beatle sights. A short walk away is bus service to the center of Liverpool. Parking is free. My room in the annex did not measure up to the photos of the standard double room. The plumbing was ancient and noisy. The carpet was stained. However the Lobby and main corridor were very nice with period details. I did not eat at the hotel but there are several restaurants and pubs a short walk away. I suspect the rooms in the front part of the hotel are much nicer than the ones in the annex.

The hotel was nothing as advertised online Nobody at reception you have to phone for someone to come. Our room was very small and cramped. The tap fell off in the sink. No non slip mat for the bath:shower. The battery failed on the door security lock. We paid for bed &breakfast but there was no breakfast on the first day, we were told to go out of the hotel and find a place to eat. The bar was shut the whole time we were there. The people running it were pleasant but I think they have an uphill struggle

Amazing support from the manager after I had a tyre blow out on the way up to daughter’s graduation. He literally took care of everything involved in getting my car picked up from the hotel after the AA dropped it off there, which helped me concentrate on the big day for my daughter and our family. Lovely, lovely man

The property was in serious need of renovation, the mattresses were far too soft to be in any way comfortable and the showers had next to no water pressure.We were also given incorrect code information at check in (albeit that was mostly compensated for by the gentleman managing the hotel responding and helping really quickly).This wasn’t a problem for us (apart from the above) but I should flag that there’s nobody ever at the reception desk. Whilst the room was a decent size, the Victorian feature of high ceilings was welcome and the location was great being so close to Sefton Park and Lark Lane it doesn’t compensate for the points noted above. It has the potential to be a really good location and building for a hotel with the appropriate renovation and good management.

Excellent location and hotel has potential to be good with investment. Check in staff was very good and did a brilliant job. Unfortunately, the room and general decor maintenance was very poor. As a result wouldn’t stay again.

One night stay for a concert. Hassan the Manage was extremely friendly and allocated us a family room with 2 double beds. He also registered my car on the parking website free of charge (although there is abundant free on-street parking outside the hotel). The hotel could do with a lick of paint here and there but was clean, tidy and perfectly functional.

Lovely helpful staff - Muhammad and Hassan. They locked away my road bike and allowed us to check out late as well as giving us an upgrade to a suite. Room good and big modern bathroom. Just a walk from Lark Lane cafe and bars and across the road from beautiful Sefton Park.Didnt use any hotel amenities.
