Really comfortable and quiet hotel, bed was a little hard for my wife and I, but that is just personal preference. Restaurant was excellent, we both had the lamb and it was wonderful

All round great stay and value for money. Quality of the food was excellent. Cooked breakfast is freshly cooked and plated, not buffet. Staff were all very friendly and professional.

Staff were great, really nice rooms. Really comfortable. Dogs allowed too which was a bonus.

Not stayed here for a long time, but still a great place. Clean and welcoming. Lovely food and service for dinner and breakfast. Only downside - the late revellers at 1.10am passing my bedroom door!

Our room was lovely & nicely decorated. We had a delicious dinner & breakfast. The staff were very polite & helpful. Would def recommend the Rufford Arms.

Fantastic find....
To be honest, i do not normally do reviews, i stay away with work one or two nights a week so got fed up with doing reviews when most places are average. The place has to be either very good or very bad for me to bother. This place is the former, very very nice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. really nice. The staff were more than friendly and very professional. The dining experience was superb, great menu, and really nicely cooked. very good. The breakfast was great also. If i had to pick up on one point to improve upon, the Wifi in the bedroom was a bit weak and kept dropping out. But this is absolutely me nit picking. I would definitely recommend Rufford Arms and will be staying here again. Well done to them. Steve Martin

Disappointing stay
Stayed in twin room on ground floor which was very clean and beds comfortable. Had everything you needed for an overnight stay. Didn’t use restaurant for a meal and on returning in the evening there was no where to sit for a relaxing drink and had to sit in restaurant which was very busy and hectic. Can hear busy road noise overnight and also people moving about upstairs. Breakfast was the real disappointment though, I had the vegetarian and the mushrooms were tasteless and cold and the vegetarian sausage totally inedible as rock hard, couldn’t even cut it with the knife. At no point did anyone ask how our food was as I would have mentioned the food issue then, feel further customer service is required. Would not return due to above issues.

Hotel is lovely, Staff are very professional and friendly. Food was very good as well. A bit close to the road to have a window open at night if your a light sleeper. I'm sure if you have a room at the back of the hotel it would be much quieter.

Lovely two night stay.
A lovely and very well run hotel. Rooms were comfortable with everything you required, very clean and tidy, simple but effective decor. Staff were lovely, and service very good. Food was 1st class, good menu, good portions and in a pleasant unhurried atmosphere.
