"We had a fantastic family getaway at the Gaylord and will definitely be back! The facility was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and our room was spotless—we had a nice bay view despite some ongoing construction. The food and drinks were top-notch, especially the sushi at Taiyō, the Wagyu burger and mussels at Trēō Kitchen + Bar, and the cocktails in the lobby lounge. My 7-year-old loved the game room, but the main highlight was definitely the water park. We spent three full days at the pools,...

"Staff was so nice. Parking was perfect. Room itself was not nice at all. Felt dirty and unkept. The bathtub was pealing and you could really hurt yourself with the paint or whatever that was that was pealing off. The shower wouldn’t completely turn off. As hard as I turned it wouldn’t turn off. My husband had to help turn it off every time. For all that money they charge, I could have found something in better condition."

"It’s a decent budget hotel, bed was comfy room was quiet. It’s an option if you’re an adult staying in SD. It’s where the hookers stay so wouldn’t recommend if traveling with kids."

"Reserved and paid for a Spa Grand Room for my wife’s birthday. We were surprised and deeply disappointed that the spa had no running hot or even warm water and was unusable. This was in spite of the fact that the bathroom sink and shower had hot water. Staff seemed at a loss on how to address this issue and should have issued a partial credit at a minimum. Additionally, the outside fountain mounted directly behind the headboard made an annoying sound most of the night."

"We had an amazing stay here. The hotel accommodations were very nice. Simple, straightforward, clean, comfortable bed and perfect for our needs. We were impressed with not only the hotel but with the outstanding staff. From beginning to end, amazing service, shout out to the bartender, Cheryl for extra hospitality and awesome drinks. She made an incredible impression on us. Cheryl deserves a raise! Looking forward to to a return visit."

"At first after traveling it's not the usual check in that we are all accustomed to, but once tht was out of the way, I loved everything about this hotel. This was a solo trip for a tattoo and the location is prime. Other than the tattoo I've spent most my time on Coronado island because it's so close, but instead of paying thousands of dollars I paid hundreds. The parking is a little shady, but all n all love this place and I'll be back. This is my cheat code staying in san diego"
